Our crusher sand is produced from drilled and blasted granite rock mined at our quarry. This rock is further crushed down to <6mm to produce a manufactured sand. This ensures that only the highest quality sand is used to supply our clients.

Our crusher sand can be used in a variety of places such as:

  • The manufacture of stock bricks and paving bricks

Description

How Crusher Sand is made:

Crusher sand is produced from solid blue granite rock that is drilled and blasted to loosen it up and fragment it into a manageable size. The layer of material mined is +25m below the surface, which provides for the high strength competent rock. Once drilled and blasted the solid rock is now fragmented into particle sizes of 500mm and smaller. The material is then loaded and hauled to a crushing plant where the rock is further crushed and sized using a series of crushers, screens to produce a final product size of <6mm.

  • Gomes Sand delivers their products using their own fleet of tipper trucks. We have a range of truck sizes to cater for clients demands and site accessibility.

    • Please view our fleet sizes to ensure the trucks can access your construction site.
  • We also boast an efficient sales office, where clients can collect their crusher sand using their own trucks. We are able to accurately transact in either tonnes or cubic meters to accommodate for our clients preferences.
