G6 Sub-base/Layer Works Material
Our G6 Sub-base is produced from brown granite rock mined at our quarry. This rock is further crushed down to <60mm to produce a manufactured crushed aggregate sub-base.
Producing crushed aggregate sub-base natural sands and crushed rock ensures that a high strength material is used.
Our G6 sub-base is used in a variety of places such as:
- Backfilling of foundations.
- Backfilling in road construction and sidewalks.
- Backfilling before concrete slabs are poured.
Our G6 sub-base is suitable for both small scale and high spec construction projects.

Description
How G6 Sub-base/Layer Works Material is made:
G6 Sub-base is produced from decomposed granite rock that is easily dug out with an excavator. The layer of material mined is between 0m and 8m below the surface, which provides for the high strength in our product. The material is then loaded and hauled to a crushing plant where the material is further crushed and sized using a series of crushers, screens to produce a final product size of <60mm. Hence any rocks excavated that are >60mm will be crushed down to <60mm, this boasts for a high strength G6 sub-base being produced.
